Limari River Valley (Ovalle):
Ken and Linda Bowie

God opens doors in mysterious ways. Ken and Linda Bowie have been pleasantly surprised at the openness expressed by the administration and staff of a Catholic school in Ovalle. Recently they were able to host a volunteer team that conducted a basketball camp for 1500 children at the school. For details, read their newsletter.

Ken and Linda Bowie have been working in the beautiful Limari Valley since 2003. Working through First Baptist Church, Ovalle, they help to coordinate the work of the various church planting teams as they reach out to ten different communities in the valley.

They often host volunteer mission teams that conduct Vacation Bible Schools, perform dramas, hold sports clinics, and offer leadership development.

The Bowies ask that you pray for:

  • All of the places God is working here in Chile
  • Continued strength and good health for us to be able to minister, especially for the “hard to get to” places
  • More Chilean believers to have a heart for missions and join us in ministering to people in rural areas
