Greetings to all our prayer partners,
Our Lord is so wonderful and it gives me great joy to serve HIM. I am so thankful to see people accepting Christ no matter where I go in Chile. There is so much spiritual hunger.
Recently I taught the Bible study in San Pedro where two ladies accepted Christ. The little building was packed with folks and many of them were new visitors. I continue to serve on the building committee in this little fishing village. Things are moving slowly but they are moving. The roof on the temple is going up a little at a time, over each week-end because the men have other jobs. Our church members are faithful to serve.
I continue to serve with an evangelism team from my church in Algarrobito. The other week another lady accepted Christ. We go from house to house telling people about Jesus. We teach the Bible in several homes. Actually we do not have a place to meet and bring new Christians together to worship. Many of the new Christians do not want others to come into their home. They do not have much, homes are small and they are proud. Please pray for us to find a place.
On Monday I work in evangelism in Guanaqueros. It is to the south of La Serena and it is on the ocean. I have a team of three ladies, two men and myself. There are eighteen new Christians in Guanaqueros and several are involved in a Bible study in their homes. Please join us in prayer for them.
I love teaching in Paihuano. They are now a church, just a few months old. They are having problems finding children’s workers and there have been deaths in different families. Please pray for this special group.
I am a part of two women’s groups. I serve as the counselor for “Women on Mission” in my church. These ladies are also involved in evangelism. They meet on the second Friday night of the month at the church. The last Friday of each month we meet in someone’s home. Everyone is asked to bring neighbors that do not know Jesus. I also attend the Woman’s Missionary Union at First Baptist Church La Serena.
I have a personal prayer request. Please continue to pray for my mother who is adjusting to a new home for the elderly. My mother is in “health care.” She has to share a room with another lady and this is difficult for her. She had a stroke in 2000 and she can’t talk. She doesn’t like to leave the room since she can’t talk and then she is bored! Please pray that she will have peace and be happy.
I plan to return home in June on Stateside Assignment and I am so excited! I am counting the days.
In Sonshine, love and laughter,
Donna Mae
